Summertime - Water and a Cruise...

Cool off at the Water Olympics at the Bolivar Library from noon to 2 p.m. TODAY! Afterward, Bolivar will hold it's 6th Annual Canal Street Cruise-In TODAY, July 17th, from 4 to 8 pm. Come on over for cars, food and plenty of entertainment - where else but on Canal Street!

NEW BUSINESS TO FILL SCRAPPIN' CABIN SPOT:

Wilkshire residents Gary and Cathy Leedy will be opening The Pizza Shop on St. Rt. 212, across from the ROC. Skills they acquired from owning a convenience store will be put to good use in the log cabin, where they are currently remodeling and anxiously awaiting a new oven and phone service! Hoping for an August 1st opening date, The Pizza Shop will offer takeout pizza from Gary and Cathy's recipe, hot pizza style subs, and cold 2-liters of soda. Jot down their number: 330-874-9927, and watch their sign for their opening.
Good Luck, Gary and Cathy!

Ladies Let Their Hair Down and Put Their Feet Up -

The friendly atmosphere in the Zoar Breakfast Haus makes for lively conversation and quirky fun for everyone at Breakfast Club. Check out the photos from June's get-together - can you guess why everyone is showing off their feet? We won't give away the secret, but you can discover it simply by coming to the next Monday Morning Breakfast Club in mid-August. All area women are invited - more details in the next ZZ e-news! (sandals optional)

Politics Anyone?

Who would have ever thought that the quaint little village of Zoar could be a "hot spot" for politics? A recent fundraiser was held in the heart of the historic district at a private residence for Bob Gibbs, who is running for Congress. View photos of the outdoor event here.
Zoar Zone does not endorse any particular political candidate, and welcomes all local fundraising event photos.

On the Same Note...

The final Master Plan Review was presented at Zoar Town Hall earlier this month. We are hoping to be able to post pdfs of the completed draft on Zoar Zone soon.
