Roses and Tonic Well gang... our team list is starting to shore up--and rest assured, you're going to have a GREAT day! We still have room for 10 more teams--so if you're on the fence, sign up! If you can't make it Saturday, we want you to know we continue to appreciate your support in all of our rally events throughout the season. Road Rally Charities wouldn't be what it is today with driving enthusiasts like you! If you can't make it on Saturday, you can still help us by sharing this event with friends, family and coworkers--so if you know someone that needs to be part of THE Central Iowa event on Saturday, then please forward this email to them! The Leukemia Lymphoma Society thanks you as well. They are a very dedicated group of people that are fighting to find a cure, and fighting to provide the resources needed for families that are dealing with a blood cancer. We are honored to partner with them in 2010 to help them raise money. Lastly, this rally event is going to live up to the hype--you're going to have the opportunity to compete in this year's 2010 Run for the Roses against most of the Rally Leadership Team. We wanted to create an event that our leadership team can participate in--and with Leukemia and Lymphoma's volunteer help, we'll be able to get in and compete in the rally. So this will be your opportunity to try to be the Leadership Team! We will recognize the Top 3 nonleadership teams of the day--and then we will tell you how each leader did compared to the rest of the pack. Bring the rotten eggs and sour tomatoes! ROSES UPDATE The initial starting launch point and Kentucky Derby Party were going to be hosted by the all new Wellman's Pub West. And we are excited to check out this new West Des Moines venue and it's rooftop patio. HOWEVER, we've discovered one of the risks that we run with partnering with a brand new venue is, well, it may not be done yet! Tom has been working hard to get us the new Wellman's--but it's simply not going to be done in time. No fretting though! Of course your Road Rally Pit Crew had a Plan B (C, D, & E) in our back pocket... at the wise advice from our team's builders and commercial real estate experts (Thanks Dan & Mike!) We are VERY excited to launch from Tonic on Saturday morning. We'll be parking our cars all around Tonic as you cruise in Saturday morning, and the patio will be wide open to hang out and enjoy a beautiful Saturday morning in West Glen. Grab a coffee at Caribou or whatever your pleasure, and come Saturday morning ready to get your rally on! We are EQUALLY AS EXCITED for Marc at Saint's to host us at the ending Kentucky Derby Party! His Corona-sponsored patio in West Des Moines, right on the bike trail (50th & EP TRUE) will be christened Saturday night by the Run for the Roses Kentucky Derby Party--so tell all of your friends and family to come out to watch Iowa's very own Paddy O'Prado compete for the entirely coveted Roses in Kentucky! Get signed up. Share it with people. And plan on having a GREAT Saturday! (75 degrees and Sunny!) Your Road Rally Charities (and Run for the Roses) Pit Crew |
