Winter! When I think of winter I think of ... warm hot chocolate with melted marshmellows; climbing into a warm bed with fluffy flannellette sheets; walking into my house with the aroma of a lovely warm hearty casserole bubbling away on the stove; cute beanies; ugg boots and warm woollen scarves; relaxing in front of a warm open fire ...
Winter is not my favourite season of the year - but when the weather is dull and grey - I take comfort in thinking about the things that I love about Winter! What things make winter special (or bearable - as may be the case) for you?
ACOCP - Heartfelt Exhibition
The Australian Community of Child Photographers (ACOCP) are proud to present the second annual Heartfelt Exhibition - "... a moving, heartfelt selection of photographs in order to raise awareness of the service we provide and to tell the stories of courage, heartbreak and hope of the everyday people with whom we are privileged to work".
I am honoured to have two images that have been chosen to be exhibited, from my session with Miss A (held last year).
Sadly, this precious little girl lost her brave battle and passed away in April 2010. When I think back to that day and the emotion in that room - I shed a tear for this brave little girl. I will never forget her and feel blessed to have met her and her family. Rest in peace precious one!
If you live in Melbourne, and/or have family and friends that live down there - it is definitely an Exhibition worth seeing!
Is There A Perfect Time?
This is a link to a blog post I came across that discusses the question - is there a perfect time for family photographs? I found it really moving and so thought I would share it.
