Introducing: On the Right Road with Glenn Gallas

"Posterity: you will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it." President John Quincy Adams-

Congratulations Arkansas! Our hard work to increase awareness and membership to the Garland County TEA Party and the Citizens for the American Agenda (C4AA) is on the fast track to success. In just a little over a year, we've grown to well over 2,000 members strong and counting. However, let us not bask in our success because our work is not yet done. When our beloved country, our lives, and our freedoms are at stake, we each must take up the mantle of lady liberty and move ever forward, spreading the message that our country is still worth saving, and that she will always be worth the time, effort, and sacrifices we each give to her. As long as the principles of our founding fathers is threatened, we must continue to maintain our advance of Arkansas' largest peaceful revolution; then educate, recruit, train, and mobilize our peaceful forces for the good of our state, our country, and our families. We must not permit ourselves to become stagnate or complacent. There is just too much at stake, and we can ill afford to lose our focus or our steam. With that said, I am so thankful that we have no slackers and everyone is willing to do their share for our beloved and noble cause.

One thing is certain, over the years we have learned the bigger our government becomes, the hungrier for power it gets, and as witnessed lately, it usually stops at nothing to 'take' what they want from we the people. Their insatiable lust for growth and power is a loud and clear message to those who understand the dirty nature of the beast. Take for example, a baby bear (cub). When the cub is still a cub, its appetite is big, but nowhere near the appetite as its mother or father bear. Everyone understands that once the cub grows into an adult sized bear, the physical transition of its appetite grows with it. Therefore, when the bear is hungry, it will eat whatever it can sink its teeth into and lots of it. Am I saying that our government is going to revert to cannibalism? Of course not. What I am saying is that government growth engulfs everything and everyone whether you are in its way or not. A good example is jobs. When government hires a new employee, that's a job loss in the private sector. This means that there is one less job that non-government job hunters have to do without. When the government passes a new tax or a new mandate (i.e. Obamacare), that means you have less money to pay for your own bills and feed your own family. Our founding fathers understood this fact and is why they wrote our founding documents in a way that specifically set in stone by law; the size, reach, and power of the very government they created. Today, like most God-fearing citizens, they would be both shocked and appalled that our bloated government has become such a reckless and corrupt body politic equivalent to a modern day den of thieves.

The Following Figures are taken from The US Debt Clock (http://www.usdebtclock.org)

Our national debt is now over $13 TRILLION. This means that every taxpayer owes the federal government about $120,000.00 (amount you owe increases every second). Our nations unfunded liabilities is almost $110 TRILLION. Your share (liability/debt to each citizen) is fast approaching $360,000.00; and it too grows every second. The US Debt Clock also list that the "official UNemployment" number is 14,896,708. They then list the actual UNemployment count is over 25,000,000. There have been almost ONE MILLION foreclosures this year (its only June) alone with some estimates reaching as high as 4 million foreclosures before years end. Folks, it's bad out there. It's real bad. The sad part is that government is painting us a pretty picture about our economy to make us feel warm and fuzzy inside so they may have a better chance at retaining their seats this election cycle. However, as evident in the great awakening of millions of Americans, we are now ready to take our country back seat by seat.

There is no doubt that our national debt is soaring to unprecedented levels with no clear end in sight. Our representatives are ignoring their oath to the supreme law of the land. The most important responsibility of the Federal Government; A principle aspect of that defense is the protection and security of our national borders and points of entry. Unfortunately, our elected officials have chosen not only to leave our borders relatively unsecured, but have also chosen not to enforce current immigration laws. The consequence of these actions have lead our nation to become less secure and in financial distress.

To correct these problems our elected officials must be willing to make some very tough decisions. The first is the creation of real border security. We must look at border security as the real threat to homeland security. Until we secure our borders we will always have illegal immigration problems. Creating another law or regulation will be essentially ineffective. Why do we think that illegal immigrant’s who do not obey the law and enforcement agencies’ who will not or can not enforce the current laws is the solution? It’s not about new or different laws. It’s about stopping the influx of illegal immigrants. Current estimates believe that the illegal immigrant population of the United States in 2008 (estimate by the Center for Immigration Studies) to be about 11 million people. Illegal immigrants continue to outpace the number of legal immigrants.

The first challenge to overcome is to first make the protection of our national borders a federal matter. The Posse Comitatus Act, generally prohibits direct participation of Department of Defense personnel in civilian law enforcement activities, such as search, seizure, and arrests. However, because we have forced civilian law enforcement to protect their individual states from illegal immigration, we have a conflict that needs to be resolved rather than ignored.

The second challenge is to take away the “Golden Ticket”. The Golden ticket is also known as “anchor babies”. We must stop the incentives illegal’s use to come to our country with the intent to birth children here and therefore permanently grant legal status to the child. You cannot make something legal that is illegal. What would happen if you or I robbed a bank and then with the proceeds bought a house? The answer is it would be confiscated because the purchase was made with stolen money. This same principle is applied to all of our laws except illegal immigration. It is no less wrong to “steal” benefits from the US taxpayer due to illegal immigration. The fourteenth amendment must be amended to deny automatic citizenship to children born of illegal immigrants.
