I am very excited by what is coming up in the next few weeks. This month is full of new projects to assist Entrepreneurs and would-be Entrepreneurs to find solutions and a renewed excitement in their vision & goals. A new E-book, ‘The Seventeen Sins of Struggling Entrepreneurs’ will be released by the end of the month. This Ebook summarises some of the big mistakes people make when starting a business which actively undermine the profitability of their ventures. This comes from my own experience and the experience of other Entrepreneurs. For each Sin a Coaching tip is provided to get unstuck. In April NOC Neswletter I’ve talked about how much attention we give to our intention and how this determine the fruits we produce in our personal & professional life. I have also shared a 5-step process, the I-BIDETM model that you can use to identify some of your most pressing misalignments in business and in personal life. (April Newsletter http://eepurl.com/n1Mv) In a workshop I have delivered at the end of April, participants had the opportunity to experience and work with this I-BIDETM model to understand the underlying reasons of their current results. It was a moment of power and connection for them and here is what they have to say:

Topic of the month Is There an Optimal Learning Strategy to Achieve Your goals?
In this month issue I would like to share with you some ideas that can help you to get back in alignment once you have identified the root causes of your challenges using the I-BIDETM model. Once you are clear about what is not working, the first step is to assess the cost/benefit of doing nothing versus the cost/benefit of doing something about that situation. If you decide to do something, the next step is to decide how you will acquire the new skills, behaviour or attitude. In most issues there are two distinct problems to address: the psychological problem and the strategy. The psychological part is about shifting the way you think and see the world and the Strategy side is about the concrete action you have to take and the skills you need to succeed. With the I-BIDETM model, the Psychological aspects include: the ‘Beliefs’ and ‘Intentions’ and the Strategy is made of the ‘Declaration’ and ‘Execution’.
If the misalignments you have identified are at a psychological level, start to think differently, allow yourself to see things from a different perspective, give another meaning to whatever you are facing or put yourself at the place of an observer to get out of your own mind. Einstein says “ The problem we face cannot be solve at the same level of thinking we were at when we create them”. Sometimes it can be difficult to adopt this external position by ourselves. The best way forward will be to seek a third party assistance (it can be a friend, a boss, a colleague, a partner or a coach) who will ask you thought provoking questions and act as a mirror to challenge the way you normally think. If the misalignments are at a Strategy level, we need the know-how, a careful planning, generate options, prioritise, take decision, etc. We need to consider the right environment, the discipline needed & be consistent with our actions. Ultimately we need to have a team, the right team around us, who will support us, encourage us, provide honest feedback, share their experience and hold us accountable.
