Want to join those leading the charge in fixing the oil problems we find ourselves in? Now is the perfect time to get involved with the Bright Neighbor Learning Farm - we are blazing a path to freedom from our oil addiction!
So what is our answer to the oil problem?
It's all of us.
Together, we can take control right now. The only people who can lead us out of this mess is us. That means lots of work preparing soils to grow food and fuel crops this summer - and it all starts with worms and soil.
 
Please join us this weekend to examine what groups of Bright Neighbors have completed so far. Extra bonus points if you bring a shovel, buckets, and your kitchen scraps. We will be teaching a free vermicomposting lesson valued at $75.
Also, for those of you who want to grow food or fuel but don't have access to land, you even have the chance to help with this year's shared planting and harvest. Bring seeds and starts - you can become a farmer in one afternoon!
This Sunday, May 9th, from 1 - 4 pm, come join Portlanders leading the way out of the global oil mess. You can even find friends and neighbors to ride share with on Bright Neighbor.
