Today's Grouvia Beta Release has some significant improvements.  We hope it will surprise and delight you.  (Let us know if it doesn't.)

As usual, we've fixed a bunch of bugs and we made dozens of UI improvements while we were at it.  But the best part is we implemented some long-awaited features, so I want to cut right to the chase and tell you about them.

New Grouvia Features

Discussion Forums for Groups
The group discussion forums (or message boards if you prefer) are now available.  If you are a group organizer, you need to visit your group's Discussion Forum page and create at least one forum.  You can create as many as you like, but you need just one in order for your group to start using this feature.

Once you have a forum, your group members can enter the forum and create topics and post comments about them.  Remember to send your group a message to let them know about the availability of the new forum.

List View for Group Event Calendar
Your group event calendar now has a list view.  When selected, this view displays your upcoming events in a list instead of a calendar.  Grouvia will remember which view mode you chose last and display the calendar in that mode the next time you visit.

Daily Summary Notifications
Now you can get your notifications in a daily summary email format.  This setting can be different for every group you belong to, and defaults to "as it happens."  To change your settings, go to your Group Settings page.

Custom Group URLs
You can now link to your group's home page using your Group URL you chose when you set up your group.  Tell people how to get to your group page using: beta.grouvia.com/yourgroupurl.  Check your Group's "Manage Settings Page" if you can't remember what Group URL you chose.  Or just go to your Grouvia group home page and look at the URL, it displays automatically.

Group Photo and Video Gallery
The group Photo & Video Gallery is now available.  It still needs some work, but we didn't want to hold back this feature just because it's not as pretty as we'd like.  Go ahead and give it a try.  Tell us what you think.  We'll incorporate your feedback into our future releases, as always.

Now, About Those Bugs

If you want to know how many bugs we fixed and how many new bugs came in and what priority we assigned to them and all that, just ask and we'll tell you.  We just don't want to clutter up your valuable inbox space with stuff we're not sure you're even interested in.  If enough people tell us they really want to know about our bug fixes, we'll include that information in future update emails.
