We believe that you should have the Freedom to Succeed.
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Last week, our Republican House district held their annual convention. At the event, I had the opportunity to connect with many like-minded individuals from our area. I also received the endorsement from our party to seek the Minnesota House of Representatives seat in our district. I am greatly honored that you have given me this opportunity to carry the conservative torch for our community.
Our district is full of good people who believe that we can get our state out of the financial crisis that it is now in. These same individuals believe that we can improve our workplaces, health care, and even education. Our neighbors agree with me that we can succeed in these areas and we can do it without moregovernment mandates and without the government intervening in your business.
The private sector has been the primary source of success and innovation in America. It will continue to lead us to new ideas, better wages, and lower prices. Our nation’s economy became strong over the last two centuries because hard working men and women were given a choice to succeed and they jumped on board. While we all enjoy a good rags-to-riches story, none of us are overly shocked by the outcome because we have seen it happen dozens of times before among our own acquaintances. Where there is freedom, anyone of us can succeed.
You and I know the prescription for success. We have seen what it takes to ensure the possibility of prosperity for ourselves, our children, and our children’s children. Yet we have come up against a wall. There are many elected officials who out of ignorance or out of greed, have decided that they can centrally plan your lives. In doing so, they squash the entrepreneurial spirit that made us so successful in the first place.
My opponent feels that way. I have nothing against him as a person, but when we send someone to St Paul, we expect they will do their part to ensure that our freedoms are preserved. We expected that he would fight for our right to succeed on our own terms. While he may be a friendly face, he has not stood for these ideals. It is time for a new direction. If we want the state to change, it has to start with our local representatives.
My campaign will create a new direction. I believe that we can unleash the creative and productive power of Minnesota by simplifying our tax code, by reducing regulations, and by looking into innovative solutions in education.
Before we get there, we need your help. We want to get this message out to the community, but first we need the resources to do so. In our district alone, there are about 25,000 registered voters. To reach this number of people, it can cost thousands of dollars to even print out a letter or issues card. We will be printing tens of thousands of pieces of literature as we fight this battle. The campaign will also need several hundred signs to cover our district.
Would you help with this endeavor? Your donation of $200 could cover most of the cost of a literature piece handed out to your precinct. It could also pay for the signs in at least part of your precinct. If you can make such a donation, it could literally change the way your neighborhood votes.
When your neighbors get the message that there is a candidate that actually believes that the individual should be in charge of his own destiny, they will appreciate your investment. When we are able to place signs at strategic locations, allowing people to learn that there is an alternative to the current way of doing things, they will be thankful for your investment.
And when the election takes place in November, and a candidate is elected that believes that you are the spark that keeps our communities, our state, and our nation going, you will know that your investment was worth every penny.
Please take a few moments to donate to the campaign. With your help, we will work together to win this one for our families, our community and our state.
