Lunch and Learn, Feed the Hungry
The San Diego Food Bank has seen an alarming increase in demand for food handouts.
Part of this increase is due to the souring economy, high unemployment rates, and increased
cost of living in San Diego. This dire financial situation may also partly be blamed on lack of
proper financial education and planning by the general public. As part of our commitment to giving back to the community, we are taking a unique approach to
positively impact the difficult financial situation faced by San Diego residents, many of which are
moms in need of help to feed their families. MBA is holding a food drive for the San Diego Food
Bank while providing an educational seminar on proper financial planning and management. Title: “Smart Planning is Everything: How to Organize Your Finances and Plan for Profit” Where: Ameriprise Financial, 8910 University Center Lane, San Diego, CA, 92122 When: Monday, March 16th. MBA Chapter Opening in San Clemente
We are very excited to announce that MBA will be opening a new chapter in San Clemente,
thanks to the initiative of Mariela Perkins, a brand-new MBA member who only joined us in
January of this year. Mariela will bring a charming personality and a strong business sense
to the leadership role of the San Clemente Chapter. She connects with people with ease,
and is a team player. We have no doubt that with her leadership, the San Clemente Chapter
will become a thriving group of businesswomen in a very short time.

Free Basic Computer Support for MBA Members
It is impossible these days to conduct business without the use of computers. When they work
properly, computers, and technology in general, open many doors for busisness owners
and allow streamlining of tasks that otherwise would be very time consuming. However,
computer mishaps and technical issues can seriously hamper the efforts of a business owner,
especially mom business owners who have enough to deal with running their businesses and
households.
As part of our mission to remove barriers for mom business owners, we have introduced a free
basic support service for MBA members only. Now, our members can ask for help by
submitting an online ticket, describing their computer issues, and expecting to receive help free
of charge.
In addition to providing this computer support service, we also aim to educate moms on good
computer maintenance skills. Click here to read an educational piece provided to us
