TreasureField

Dear Friends & Family,

I’m writing to ask that you consider making a small donation for a Habitat for Humanity build I will be taking part in on July 31st with the TreasureField House Church Network.   Any contribution you make will go directly to helping provide affordable housing to a low income family in the Denver Metro area.

Contrary to common belief, Habitat for Humanity homes are not given away, but sold to low-income families with a zero-percent interest mortgage.  This provides them with a safe, decent and affordable place to call their home.  This blessing can really transform the lives of a family in need.  The Blairs are one such family.

In 2005, Farhana Blair and her family of four were living in the cramped basement of her in-law’s home.  The space proved to be a nearly impossible environment to raise two young children.  After 250 hours of equity labor, working at the Habitat office, and building their home, the Blair’s were able to move into a place of their very own.  Soon afterward, Farhana was able to put the skills she developed working with Habitat to good use: landing her first full-time office job.  She continues to volunteer her time to work on other Habitat projects and speaks to area groups about how Habitat for Humanity changed her life.

There are three different ways that you can donate:

  1. Donations can be made online at http://www.habitatmetrodenver.org/ with a credit card. If you’d like to go this route please put the name TreasureField in the Special Designation line.

  2. Donations can be sent to 3245 Eliot Street, Denver, CO 80211. Checks or money orders must be payable to Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver. In the memo line be sure to write TreasureField so your money goes to our build.
  3. Donations can also be made by phone using a credit card by calling Kimberly Urish at 720-496-2716. She’s in charge of fundraising for the Denver Metro Area.  Please tell her your donation is for TreasureField’s build.

(All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.)

If you feel you can’t give but would still like to help, we do have a few more spots open for volunteer builders.  If you’d like more information about this opportunity, take a look at our facebook page:http://bit.ly/cOBqvu.

We are very excited about this opportunity to serve our community and would like to extend the invitation for you to be a part through your prayers, donating, and/or volunteering.  Any help that you can give us is greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Marty Reiswig
