
FLAMES SHUTOUT WINGS
DETROIT - Miikka Kiprusoff stopped all 40 shots he faced record his 2nd shutout of the season and 32nd of his career as the Flames beat the Detroit red Wings on Friday night.
The Flames had book-end goals in the first period as Jamie Lundmark recorded his 1st of the season only 0:28 seconds into the game. Nigel Dawes scored the other goal late in the first, his 6th of the season and 2nd in the last 2 games. Olli Jokinen rounded out the Flames scoring notching his 4th of the campaign just 0:25 seconds into the third period.
The Flames continue to dominate away from home improving their road record to 8-1-3.
The Flames, now 15-6-3, continue their longest road trip of the season as they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets (12-9-3) on Saturday night, November 30th 5:00 PM, CBC (HD), Fan 960.
