* Cough! Cough! *
It's hard to see through the dust of all of this fallen masonry. :) It'll be a while longer before we know just how much of this wall God has eliminated but we have a few miracles to report. I've told many of you that the best part of my job is getting to be a witness to all the incredible things our God does. In one week, nearly half of our support shortfall came in. God moved powerfully. Just a few weeks ago, I sent you an email talking about how the enemy was on the walls jeering at us. Today there's a jagged ruin where our enemy stood. It's still an obstacle, but it's a smaller one, and it doesn't afford any purchase to our enemy.
On Sunday evening we'll board a flight to London, and we'll change planes in the wee hours of the morning and head on to Basel, Switzerland. We don't have all the support we need to stay; we're still counting on the Holy Spirit to move hearts and bring more people to stand with us, but in faith, we're going, because we believe God wants us back in Germany.
On September 24th, Brandy's Birthday, I have to call back to our headquarters in Monument and tell them where things stand. If we aren't fully supported at that point, I'll have to return to the US and do more fund raising. It takes a while for new pledges to get into the system, so if you do feel God leading you to join our team, please don't wait. Let us know now, so we can focus on ministry and not be distracted by support raising.
We've heard again and again from people not that they've been impressed by our work, or that they think I'm a great speaker (ha ha!), but that the Holy Spirit has moved them to make a commitment to what we're doing. We can't take any credit for that. The glory belongs to our mighty God. He's collapsing the wall that kept us from returning to Germany. I hope you can hear the rumble and smell the dust.
