What's Going On?

Grant Bark Park

We're installing timers so water isn't left on all night.
We will be installing poo bag dispensers at each end of the park.

Coliseum Dog Park

We've put up a community bulletin board.
We've asked the CPD to look into problems with the water fountain and the gate.
We'll be installing a poo bag dispenser this month.

Dog PAC

We've established a yearly operating budget of $6550.
The board has three new members.
We have joined with other Chicago DFA committees to share information and ideas.

From the President:
The South Loop Dog P.A.C. has an ongoing obligation to maintain the South Loop off-leash dog parks, but we are also advocates for improvements to both those areas, and seek to become advocates for the dog community - in the “DFA”s, in the parks, and in the neighborhood – as well. There should be around two thousand ‘dog households’ in the South Loop! Only four hundred are on this distribution list, so we ask that you forward Fetch! to your dog-friendly neighbors to help build this community.

What is to be done?

In order to support the “DFA”s we need your continuing community involvement – through memberships, donations and volunteers.

We will be initiating a community cleanup day at both the Grant Bark Park and Coliseum Dog Park. Look for details soon to be posted at our website.

To help ongoing cleanup at the "DFA"s we are going to ask park users that "If you have a moment, do a chore!" Watch for the new signs this Fall.
