Last week's winning fabric design, "Patroondik," is by Dutch artist Marieke Ooms. She tells us it is the first in a fabric line called "Branch New" inspired by nature and natural plant forms. Her fabric is available as a special, limited edition for the next six days in the Spoonflower Etsy shop. See more of her work on her blog, work-and-process.

Last Call for Linen-Cotton

So the bad news is that Sunday, July 26, will be the last day you can order the current version of our linen-cotton blend. If you've ordered swatches or small amounts for a project and you need more fabric that matches, place the order today! After Sunday we will no longer have linen-cotton available on the site.

That segues nicely to the fabric poll we ran last week. Thanks very much to all of you who participated! We're not going to announce the results just yet, but we are in the process of introducing two new fabrics based on your feedback. The new fabrics will not be limited editions, but permanent additions to our selection of base fabrics. Liz Whiting was the winner of our free fabric drawing, which was administered by Random.org.
