Back to School Sale
With my own kids heading back to school today (pictured at left), I'm reminded that we're due for an Abort73 Back to School T-Shirt sale. Though Seth and Melanie can only wear Abort73 shirts on their one or two non-uniform days, I suspect most of you have a bit more wardrobe freedom.
For the rest of the week, we've taken $4-$5 off seven of our Abort73 T-shirt designs (13 different color combinations). Some are available for as little as $7.96! And don't forget about our multi-shirt discounts. Visit our shirts page, and look for the green "ON SALE" tags.
Back to School Advertising
Last week, Abort73's first ever billboard went up on I-75, just north of Atlanta. This week, Abort73's first ever college newspaper ads go to press. They will be debuting on two campuses, one in the Northwest and one in the Southeast. Both are large, state schools in small towns (anyone who knows me can probably guess the schools I've chosen). Besides being my two favorite universities, they're also perfectly situated for testing the advertising waters of college newspapers. Both campuses have vibrant, widely read papers, both campuses have large student bodies, and since both campuses are in small, college towns, it will be much easier to demographically isolate our traffic results as we consider the effectiveness of the ads. We'll be running the ad one time on the first campus and fives times (over a four week span) on the other. This will give us opportunity to compare the traffic results of single-runs verses multi-runs. In the short run, I'm hoping these ads (pictured below) will be effective at drawing college students to the website. In the long run, I want to be able to quantify the cost effectiveness of campus advertising versus other advertising outlets. Assuming it proves effective, I would love to see groups and individuals start sponsoring similar ads in college papers around the country. If you would like to donate in support of these college ads, select the appropriate drown-down designation on our donate page. Thanks so much for your prayers and support. And for all of you heading back to school, don't forget to bring Abort73 to campus with you!
