LOVE THE LEAST Recap and Preview

I want to talk about the 3 LOVE THE LEAST events we just did in Southern California and preview where we hope to take the event this spring, but first, SO much has happened in the 2 weeks since my last update, that I need to start with a bullet list of news and praise:

• Last Sunday, Harvest Bible Chapel of Rockford donated their ENTIRE offering to the support of relief efforts in Haiti (through Children's Hunger Fund) and Abort73. Our designated portion ended up being more than $10,000!
  
  
• Our general giving in January was $1,943.75 above what our monthly budget calls for. Add that amount to the $10,091.63 from Harvest, and it adds up to $12,035.38 – which is almost exactly what our deficit was entering 2010. In one month, God completely wiped it away!
  
  
• On January 22, Desiring God released a new "Don't Waste Your Life" video which highlights Abort73 as an application of not wasting your life. And while up there to film earlier in the month, I got the totally unexpected opportunity to have lunch with John Piper! During his sermon on January 24, Born Blind for the Glory of God, he recommended Abort73.com as being "one of the best sites there is".
  
  
• In an effort to keep improving the Abort73 website, we've added Abort73 stickers and pens to the new web store interface, and have added an email archive to the site, so our email updates for the last year are now available online.
  
  
• A short-run order of GUNS shirts, hoodies and longsleeve hoodies is on the way. Pre-order them while they last. We also have a new batch of CHOICE shirts in stock and ready to go out the door.

Whew! God is good! Now, on to LOVE THE LEAST (LTL). We did three of these events a week and a half ago in California. Each one was bigger than the last, and we had a tremendous response at all three. I've never been so encouraged as to the future viability of this outreach model, and I just updated our event landing page (http://lovetheleast.com) to better communicate what this event is all about and better position it for moving forward.

We are currently planning the next round of LTL events for the Spring. We have some potential locations and dates in place, but we need some help! We want to be able to do at least 2 events on each trip, so if you live in Tennessee, Florida, or Texas, we want to hear from you. As we do more of these events, they get better and better, but they truly are a community project. The more people and the more churches we can bring on board, the more effective and cost-efficient they'll be. Time is of the essence, so please respond quickly and help us mobilize the Christian community in your area to be a more effective witness against the injustice of abortion and a more effective ally to the thousands of abortion-vulnerable children dying each day in this country.
