Matthew's Hope Update

Hey All:

First, we have to thank both Pastor Tom Welch of Southwest Alliance Church and Pastor Jason Dukes of Westpoint Church both of whom have committed to partnering with Matthews Hope being regular monthly Financial Supporters. Without partner Churches and others just like you coming along side us, Matthews Hope cannot conduct the mission before her. Please, won’t you prayerfully consider making Matthews Hope a part of your regular giving. She is truly a ministry where the rubber meets the road.

In addition, we cannot be more thankful for our many amazing Volunteers and Supporters. Matthews Hope is now represented by volunteers from over 20 different churches as well as others throughout our community. Got to believe that Jesus is smiling whenever we gather to serve the least of these. Yesterday was our biggest day ever, meeting the various needs of 45 different people, 7 of which were first timers. It was a crazy day from start to finish as one of our Air Conditioners went down with a burnt out Fan Motor, one of our computers kept freezing up and we had Fire Tech out installing new Warning Signs and Fire Equipment as we failed our Fire Inspection last week. It was a very expensive day but God was good and throughout the day people came by with donations of unexpected financial support. Funny how God always knows and meets our needs. I have to admit as I was writing checks of nearly $600 yesterday and then being told what it was going to cost to repair the Air Conditioner, I was a little freaked out for just a moment and simply prayed, Lord, you know where we are at.

Lastly, don’t forget the Saturday, August 14^th Outreach Event being hosted by the Spanish Penticostal Church located at Faith Family Church on Beulah Road across from West Orange High School. The Event is geared toward not just the Homeless but Familes in deep financial need. There are plans to feed, cloth, offer medical assistance and supply School Supplies.
