 Vibe from the Vision Keeper
One of my biggest drivers in starting YogaVibes was the diversity of yoga I found as I traveled and practiced. One week I was in New York City practicing at Jivamukti, doing my best to follow the Sanskrit chanting; the next week I’d try Bikram hot yoga in South Beach; the next a Power Vinyasa class at It’s Yoga in San Francisco. When I first stepped on a yoga mat about six years ago, I was just looking to gain a little flexibility for my golf game and maybe a little more calmness in my day-to-day life. But like many of us, I was hooked and wanted to learn more and deepen my practice. I discovered that yoga is a journey, both physically and metaphorically, and that there are lots of paths on that journey. So you’ll continue to see a variety of yoga on YogaVibes in styles, teachers and difficulty levels. Our goal is to be a platform for the best yoga in the world, no matter the type. We have yoga for recovery and yoga for athletes. Soon we’ll have yoga for golfers. For me it’s all yoga and it’s all good. To the most stringent of yogis, I’d say whatever gets a hard core triathlete or a golfer on the mat is OK with me because the union of the physical body with the breath is the ultimate goal. Would you agree? Please post your thoughts on the Discussion tab of our Facebook fan page.
In the coming months, we will push the limit with new offerings that may be viewed by some as fringe yoga. But let me reassure you, no matter the style we’ll always deliver the best yoga in the world. I am also happy to announce we have just completed agreements with a wonderful partner in Hong Kong as we deliver on our 2010 goal of expanding in Asia.
I’m so grateful to our students around the world. Thank you for allowing us to serve you.

Ambassador Vibe On the day I discovered YogaVibes, I just wanted to be able to take a class with Kristina Berano in Torrington, Conn. Having moved 1,000 miles away, I wanted to revisit my yoga “home.” I didn’t find a class taught by her on the site, so I emailed customer support. The people at YogaVibes turned my desire into reality. Now I can visit Kristina’s Kripalu Beginner’s Flow from my new home in Tennessee. And from that initial suggestion, I’ve become part of the YogaVibes team as an Ambassador. Blogging for the site has been cathartic. As a former songwriter that now has a real job, it is a great creative outlet. But it also lets me share with others how yoga can be part of the solution. Yoga has been a beautiful addition to the miracle of my life in recovery. Stillness of mind and being are part of the program of recovery and my yoga practice has become a place for that to flourish. Whether your recovery is from addiction—or is physical, emotional or spiritual—Recovery Vibe and YogaVibes can be an outlet for you too to find strength and stillness. Join YogaVibes.com and discover why so many of us are so passionate about it. And be sure to check out my journey on Recovery Vibe. World Vibe “Yoga has been my peace of mind since being first introduced. Since then, I’ve moved from the city to a small town, so YogaVibes has been my safe retreat. Thanks so much for a great Web site.” – Jason H., Vernal, UT “Thank you so much... YogaVibes is a great source of inspiration. I've been looking for a good resource like this. Mostly I'd been renting yoga videos off of Netflix, just to try to stay abreast of current trends, etc. Anyway, thanks again for clueing me in to this site, and for the cool ideas therein." – John Allen G., Tampa, Fla., after streaming “Power Yoga with Denise Payne” “This is one of the best yoga sequences I have ever experienced. The release of the Yin, the fantastic breath work, and the vigor of the Vinyasa flow make (Jennifer Beyt Coffin's Yinyasa: The Fusion of Yin and Vinyasa Flow) a deeply invigorating practice." – Sally S., Knoxville, Tenn. We welcome your feedback on our site. The authors of comments chosen for publication in our monthly newsletter receive a free YogaVibes class.
