NUTRITION: “Feed Your Life” by Sara Lean on Your Strengths This week, make a list of 3 strengths that you have. Write them down. If you have trouble or are a little modest, try to think like your friends, coworkers or boss. What do you do well? What’s great about you? Then use those strengths when you find that there’s a change in your life you want to make or a goal you want to accomplish. Lean on your strengths and brainstorm how those very strengths can lead you towards success. Put your list up somewhere around you, like at your desk, on the fridge or by the bathroom mirror and let it remind you that this is only the beginning of the list of great things about you that can help you achieve your desires. Check out this week’s Feed Your Life to learn more about utilizing this tip. FITNESS: “Fitness For All” by Sue Your Body Is a Bundle of Fun This week, learn how to have fun with your body again! Ever thought that having to move your body scares the heck out of you and it would be easier not to move? Children are wired to seek fun. Have you ever spent an hour running and playing with a child - they’re such a delight. Be inspired by childhood play. Orchestrate an afternoon with friends to play ring around a rosy, musical chairs, capture the flag, pickle, tag or any number of other games. Involve your children for a fun-filled day of movement. Or try this: go play with your dog or “borrow” a neighbor’s or friend’s. Go to the park, and throw a Frisbee or ball. Take a nice walk. If you’re a cat person, get an interactive toy or wand and play with your cat - all movement is good movement. Read Fitness For All to see what kind of positive effects these childhood antics can have on your life.
