Tip of the week - Why We Use Third-Party Log-ins
 You've probably noticed that in order to log in to submit music we ask that you use a third-party account.
1. It is secure. When you log in using a third party account (your username and password from another service) you are not giving us your password. Essentially, you are logging-in to that third-party service and they send us a code telling us you are who you say you are. We never get to see your actual log-in details.
2. It's fast and easy. By using a third-party log-in, you do not have to remember yet another username and password. When you change your password at Facebook (for example) that's all you have to remember.
3. It's the future. More and more sites are moving to this type of log-in. We don't rule out re-introducing our own username and password system but you will start to see more and more sites around the Web moving to this type of login feature. Just look at a few of the sites around the Web that are using this system already.
One last note: Our song submission site and the song presentation packs are separate applications that require that you log in separately. We recommend that you use the same third-party account for both applications and there is even a feature in the presentation packs menu that shows you how to associate your old username and password that you've been using with us to a third-party account.  According to her site, if you've been in the record business at least two months or thirty-five years, it's almost certain that you've heard the name, or communicated with, or received correspondence from or even been called on the phone by Paulette De Suzia. Entering the recording industry as a secretary at A&M Records, six months later she was promoted to Assistant to the Vice President of Urban Promotions. Later she became the first black female Promotion Coordinator for A&M Records. Her early industry credits ensued after years at A&M Records. Then she joined Far Out Productions whereby she coordinated duties for musical personalities such as the Blood, Sweat and Tears Management Team and the legendary group WAR. An eight-year stint with Palo Alto/TBA Records provided the opportunity for her to become the first black female National Contemporary Jazz Promotion Director. She produced early hit songs for Dianne Reeves and George Howard. Her productive results created quite a stir in the music industry which compelled artist managers and other music labels to start seeking her services. In light of this demand, she decided to open her own promotion and marketing firm called "From A Whisper To A Scream."

I manage a website that features a slideshow of publicity photos of musicians. Each slide provides an opportunity for viewers to click on the photo to reach the musician's website, MySpace page or other location where viewers can learn more about the artist.
We are looking for musicians to add to our music-related website. We are looking for photos where (a) the musicians' faces are well lit, (b) no microphone is in front of the face, (c) the eyes are clearly visible. If you look at standard concert performance photos, you would be surprised at how many photos are dark, grainy photos where the musicians have their eyes closed -- we are trying to avoid those types of photos. We also try to avoid any photo that has a disturbing element, such as blood, tobacco products, etc. We love finding musicians who have true talent, musical ability and outstanding skills with instruments and who have not yet found the audience that they deserve. We enjoy helping musicians attract an audience by providing publicity for their work.
