Who "Unlocked the Mystery"?
Super sleuths in motion, Girls from Egg Harbor Township won the Service Unit Camporee in the QSP/Nut drawing.
This year, 14 Service Units “cracked the code” of rally planning and collectively served 1,350 girls during an incredible day of activities. Council helped Service Units “Unlock the Mystery” of rally planning by providing a packet of information which included preparation considerations, rally procedures, and even station ideas. Service Units were encouraged to utilize the materials provided exactly as they were, modify the information to suit their particular needs, or create station ideas of their own! The theme for this year’s program – Girl Scout Investigators (GSI): Unlock the Mystery provided fun hands-on activities for girls to learn about the nut and chocolate offerings, goal setting, safety, fact finding, code-breaking, and most of all, fun! Kudos to Southampton, Washington Township, Egg Harbor Township, Old Bridge, Greater Galloway, New Brunswick, MOJASPHE, South River/Milltown, North Edison/Metuchen, Medford Lakes, Inland/Island, United Pennsauken Merchantville (UPM), Perth Amboy and Crosstown/Tri-Towne/Carteret (CTC) for all that they did to bring QSP/Nut programming to their areas. Every Service Unit conducting a rally was entered in a drawing for a Service Unit Camporee. The winning Service Unit will have first priority to pick the weekend of its choice up through October 2010. The drawing was held on November 4th and the winner is – Egg Harbor Township. The Missing Link Activity
The Missing Link puzzle activity was a great way for troops to showcase their commitment to “making the world a better place." GSCSNJ is proud of the work our troops do to build stronger communities. Take a look at some of the Missing Link puzzle pieces submitted that represent our connection to the community at large.

Open Space
At our 2009 Annual Meeting several volunteers participated in an Open Space discussion forum that ranged in topics from program opportunities to sugarless cookies. Each discussion had a volunteer facilitator or two, who took detailed notes on the discussion topics, concerns, and recommendations. In addition you will find Food For Thought from the Council , that clarifies, corrects misinformation or gives additional details that perhaps the general public didn't know. Although not everything discussed or recommended has a Food For Thought section, this does not mean that Council Staff is not reviewing the details of your discussion or recommendation. Each department has been given a copy of the transcript so they can take all recommendations into consideration as we work towards a stronger Council.
