Great Questions and Comments!
I truly enjoy our shareholder informational meetings as this gives me a chance to interact with shareholders and members of our communities that can't make it to our annual meetings in Anchorage. We had great questions and comments from our shareholders this year that included: how to get grant writing classes; funds for career enhancement training; scholarships for any shareholder or descendant to attend college; distance education; culture camps and the Alaska Federation of Natives convention travel scholarships. I'd like to share with you, in this issue of the eCurrent, sources of opportunities for grant writing and other programs coming up this summer. Our summers are short and we are trying to squeeze in all of our summer fun and subsistence activities before the long winter is upon us again. So please be aware of upcoming events and deadlines before they pass us by. A few of those include: - Culture Camp travel scholarship deadlines (contact The Aleut Foundation for more information)
- Direct Deposit application deadline of June 25th to be effective for the July shareholder dividend distribution
- TAF Fall Scholarship deadline of June 30th
- Board of Director Nomination deadline of July 5th
- TAF/TAC Annual Picnic on July 23rd
- Shareholder of the Year and Elder of the Year Nomination deadline of August 6th
Please look for more of this information in our upcoming Aleutian Current, our Facebook page, and our website.

I am always open to your questions and comments, so please leave me a comment on our website or email me at info@aleutcorp.com.
I'd also like to thank those shareholders who have always welcomed me and our group during our visits. Your hospitality and flexibility is very appreciated, especially during any last minute changes that take place because of weather conditions. For those communities we've missed this year, I hope the weather will cooperate so we get there next year.
I hope you all have a wonderful summer!
