Acute Phase Protein Testing
Avacta Animal Health are now offering Acute Phase Protein (APP) testing as part of our specialist serological testing services.
APPs are proteins originating in the liver that increase in concentration in response to infection or inflammation. They form part of the Acute Phase Response (APR) and therefore are excellent biomarkers of the initial sub-clinical reaction. Already used extensively in human medicine they provide:

A rapidly responding biomarker for tracking recovery or a response to treament
