Parents no worries we can hold the items at the studio and schedule a pick up when the kids are not around. Make sure to place the order by December 18 in order to receive before the Holidays. Check In

Students and parents we have a new check in system in place at Karate USA. You will no longer use the fingerprint scanner.  Type your name in at the kiosk, follow the prompt and your checked in. Simple as that. All students should check in as soon as they arrive at Karate USA.  Students must attend class a set amount of times before testing. Parents please help the little ones if they have problems.  If you are on a beginner trial course the instructor will take care of putting you in the system upon enrolling in a regular program at Karate USA.  Once a student is checked in they should remove shoes, place correctly in cubbies and sit on black bench and await their class.

If is vital you check in each class. Failure to properly check in may result in our system not letting the instructor know if you are eligible to test.

Members Only Site

Karate USA will be premiering our new members only site in January. This website will cater to active members. In addition, Karate USA's members only site will let the student earn referral rewards and bonus points towards special events. Karate USA will be sending a special email explaining the members only site soon. Look for it.

Tournament

Congratulations to all Karate USA students that participated at last month's tournament. Over 100 students participated. A special thanks to all our black belts and advanced belts that volunteered their time.

We had good reviews overall of our new venue. Thank you to all the parents that answered our tournament survey.  The next tournament will be held in March.

Exam Eligibility Lists

Students make sure to check out the exam eligibility list in the right hand column of this newsletter. This list is for taekwondo students only. If your name appears on the list you are eligible to test December 18. You must see an instructor on your next visit to receive the RED eligibility stripe. It is the student's responsibility to check the list. The same list is posted at Karate USA. Being eligible does not mean you WILL test, but that stripe means your instructor will be working extra with you to prepare for the exam.

BELT TEST
Karate USA's December Exam will be held on Friday, December 18 at the Johns Creek studio. All Little Ninjas who have earned the black stripe are eligible to test. All taekwondo students must be on eligibility lists to qualify for promotion. Karate USA videos are up and running and diagrams of each form can be found at exam requirements. Taekwondo students please make sure if your name is on this list you see your instructor immediately for a RED stripe. Little Ninjas do not appear on list. The number of classes for promotion are listed on Little Ninjas page.

WEBSITE ACTIVATION CODE
Please remember to access Karate USA's student information page you will need to set up your own ID and password. If you have not done so already make sure you enter the activation code. The activation code
is kusamember.

HOW TO TIE YOUR BELT
Karate USA now has an online video to help students/parents tie a belt on correctly. Please take a few moments to watch this video. All martial artist should be able to tie their own belt at an exam. Practice! Practice!

Membership Policy

Month-Month Memberships may be canceled with 30 days notice. No cancellations on 6 and 12 month plans. Cancellation must be made in writing and sent to Karate USA email address listed above.

The date received is the date Karate USA goes by regarding 30 days. All cancellations received after the 2nd of month will be exited after the following month. All adjustments, changes must be made in writing.

Participation - the amount and extent of participation at Karate USA is the student’s responsibility. Failure to use Karate USA facilities does not constitute grounds for refund. If student wishes to return to Karate USA after cancellation they are subject to a $50 re-enrollment fee.

Month-Month memberships may be frozen for $10 a month. Freezes must be made in writing and sent to Karate USA address listed below. To freeze a month you must give Karate USA 30 days notice in writing. Frozen months are not accepted as final month, all freezes automatically reactivate when membership freeze expires.
