Hey everyone -


This past Saturday night, we had an awesome time at Croft Community School. Our Back to School Bash was a blast with almost 300 students, staff, and family members in attendance. We were able to transform the bus parking lot into an outdoor movie theatre complete with an inflatable screen and concession stand!  A HUGE thanks to everyone who volunteered. We would not have been able to pull off this event without YOU! If you weren't able to make it, be sure to check out pictures and video on our Facebook page. We're working on plans for another Movie Night in October – more details to come!

This Sunday - Ancient:Future Service:
This will be a time to reflect, take communion and experience God in a new way. If you're in town, you will not want to miss this creative worship experience!
Also a friendly reminder, we'll be having Community Time starting at 10:15 am and starting the service at 10:30 am. Come a few minutes early to grab some coffee and catch up on life with your fellow Sojourners.
 
Mark your Calendar - Saturday September 18^th:
Our Connection Team has met throughout the summer to get to know other each other better and help in planning community events (Back Pack Drive, Croft Movie Night, etc). We want to continue to meet throughout the Fall and build on this summer's momentum. Summer can be busy and crazy, so if you weren't able to be a part of things, it isn't too late to jump on board. We would love to have you join us on Saturday, September 18th to hang out and begin to dream about God's plans for the next chapter of Sojourn and serving our community. A few Volunteer Opportunities:
Here’s two easy ways to get involved and volunteer.
Worship Set-Up/Tear Down Crew:
Since school has started back, we have to fully set-up and tear down for each week at Croft. If you are interested in volunteering to help with set up/tear down, please call or email Curtis Patterson (704-806-0374; cpattersonuxo@yahoo.com). Or you can just show up! You can volunteer on a weekly, monthly, or contingent basis – how often or little you want!
Food for Hospitality Table:
If you would be interested in bringing food for our hospitality table, please email or call Jess Patton (jess.patton@yahoo.com; 936.827.9667). We’re looking to have volunteers to bring in goodies (doughnuts, bagels, muffins, etc) to go along with the coffee during Community Time before the service starts. Our plan is to rotate among the volunteers where you would be responsible once a month at max.
