NIKON SMALL WORLD TRAVELING EXHIBIT NOW OPEN!

Some things are just so tiny, they can only be viewed through a light microscope. And every year the world's best photomicrographers offer us a glimpse of nature's unseen world through their gorgeous Photomicrographs in the Small World Nikon Competition.

View 20 award winning photomicrographs showcasing the beauty and complexity of life as seen through the light microscope,  at the American Museum of Science and Energy in Oak Ridge. You'll be amazed when you discover the true subject of each of the images! Plus, we're sure even the smallest family member will be captivated by the vibrant shapes and colors. All found in nature.

The top five images this year in Nikon Small World includes a thale cress anther, spiny sowthistle's stem, image of a wrinkled photoresist, spiraling image of an anglerfish ovary and the oral surface of a young seastar.

Nikon Small World is at the AMSE now through August 8th, 2010
