Happy 4th of July <<First Name>>!  We don't seem to have a tradition when it comes to the 4th of July weekend, every year we tend to do something different. Whether it's a cook out at a friend's house, hanging out at home or lunch at the in-laws we sort of go with the flow every year. And that suits us just fine! What do you do with your family? Do you hit the parades with gusto? Cook a huge feast for friends or wrangle an invite to someone else's house. Share your favorite 4th of July weekend memory with us here. Friday July 2nd Mommy and Me Art Class at 10am and 12pm. This week make a 4th of July Firecracker Crown. ($5 material fee applicable and RSVP essential). Saturday July 3rd Farragut's 23rd Annual Independence Day Parade See PBS star Martha the Dog (from Martha Speaks) in the parade. Watch the Farragut High School Band, floats, antique cars, dance groups and more pass by on Kingston Pike in Farragut. 35th Annual 4th of July Midnight Parade in Downtown Gatlinburg. It's the very first official 4th of July parade. 20th Annual Pigeon Forge Patriot Festival. Watch the parade and then enjoy the free Kids' Karnival Zone. Sunday July 4th July 4th Celebration and Anvil Shoot at the Museum of Appalachia. Festivities kick off with the opening ceremony and anvil shoot, followed by the ringing of the Liberty Bell the raising of the Liberty Pole and more. Smokin' the Water 4th of July Festival in Kingston attracts visitors from all over for a parade, drag boat and raft races, children's activities, classic car shows and more. July 4th Celebration at Greenlee Campground complete with fireworks! Fire on the Water. Watch one of the largest 4th of July fireworks shows on Norris Lake at the Sequoyah Marina. 26th Annual Pilot Free Independence Day Concert at World's Fair Park. The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will be performing popular patriotic tunes and the Star Spangled Banner and conclude with a 20 minute fireworks display. Arrive early to stake out your spot and enjoy children's activities starting at 2pm. 4th of July Fireworks Show starts at 10pm in Downtown Gatlinburg. (it's a Top 20 event as designated by the Southeast Tourism Society) Tuesday July 6th or Wednesday July 7th It's Flags, Parades and the U.S.A. at this month's patriotic themed Mornings with Mommy at the Sherpherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.
