OK, this heat is starting to get ridiculous! We're so glad we invested in a YMCA membership this summer so we can cool off our grumpy kids in the afternoons.
However, our summer schedules are so topsy turvy it does make it hard to get dinner on the table at a decent time. So, if you're after some dinnertime inspiration, you must watch Mary Contstantine's Video Blog now on the Knoxmoms.com home page for a bit of yummy inspiration.
And don't forget to search our recipes database in the Knoxmoms.com/coupons page and of course chime in when you feel like it in our Supper Club thread on Knoxmoms.com
Welcome to Our Sponsor: All Kreatures Where is Fido or Fluffy going when you're on Vacation?
All Kreatures offer luxury boarding (Kottages, Kabins and Kondos, they're all so adorable) and traditional boarding options for dogs and cats. Best of all you can trust Chuck and Betty Charlton and their fully-trained team, they have a long track record with over 16 years in the business. We wanted to know a little bit more about All Kreatures, here's our Q&A session with co-owner Betty Charlton:
What are some of your tricks/tips to make the pets feel more at home? Get as much information as possible from the owner as to what the pet does at home and keep the day as near the home routine as possible. For instance…if the owner walks the dog at 3:00 every afternoon, then schedule the Nature Walk for 3:00 in the afternoon. This really works! It also works to bring something from home that smells like home. I personally find it very good to just to make it a point to go by several times a day and just speak to the dog by name. This reassures the pet that someone knows them.
