Master Seminar Update
You asked. We listened. You coming?

When we announced the launch of The Master Seminars I received emails from a number of individuals asking if these events would be for published authors only.

I told you that we hoped to have some events for pre-published writers too. And now we do.

Susan May Warren’s Writing a Bestselling Novel is open to pre-published authors at her January and February events.
We listened, will you come?

Susan took the time to answer questions about the agenda for you.

Q: How are you and Chip going to teach this class?
Chip is going to overview what makes a bestseller, then I’m going to dive into teaching the components of a story, first with an overview, then going in-depth to show my easy from-the-inside-out book therapy methods of creating character and plot.  We’ll end Friday night with a movie that we’ll analyze.
On Saturday, it’s genre day, and we’ll break into three groups- Suspense, Romance and Suspense/Romance.  While one group is learning genre specifics from me, the other will get a chance to talk through their story with Chip, getting feedback and ideas on how to make it commercial and a best-seller.  Then, we’ll switch.  The third group will get a chance to talk with Chip while the first groups do some hands-on exercises and book therapy brainstorming with me.  It’s a great way to see if your idea has merit, or learn how to fix your current story.
In the afternoon, we’ll dive into how to create a scene, and I’ll bring them all the way through scene building so they know the components.  They’ll be armed with secrets on how to write a perfect scene, and given tips on strengthening their writing.
We’ll end with a discussion on what to do next, and how to go from idea to publication.

Q: Who are these seminars designed for?
This seminar is for someone who has a story idea, or even an author who has a story written but can’t figure out why it doesn’t work.  Or even authors who are writing fiction already, but can’t figure out how to take it to the next level…. Hence, “Learn how to write a best-selling novel.”

Q: How many spots are available?

Both events have a limit of 16 people so that we'll have time to work with everyone.
