What is acceptable swimwear? See short slideshow with examples of acceptable swimwear when you sign-up. Note that t-shirts will not be allowed on the water rides, for safety reasons.
Why? For the sake of modesty and honoring one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, all groups (boys, girls, adults included) will need to abide by an acceptable swimwear policy. Our freedoms are meant to build up one another.
Any parent or student with questions on this policy can call Pastor Jeff directly at (503) 656-2328.

Incoming high school freshmen/9th graders are invited to join the high school group this Summer [Wednesdays @ 7-9pm] [see the HS page]. We are studying The Story of God.

<<First Name>>, I hate goodbyes. This Sunday we said goodbye to our faithful middle school intern Luke Simpson. This week he returns to his home state of Michigan to live and work near family. In God's good timing He brought us Luke, and we are sad to see him go — yet excited and hopeful for the future. We publicly honored Luke's faithfulness with gifts, encouragement and prayer (see photos from Sunday). It's been talked about and planned since the New Year, so his leaving is no surprise. Luke has finished well and wanted to see the kids through the school year. He loves students and pours into them. His commitment to your students should be celebrated. We will miss Luke! I share this with you so that when you see Luke this Sunday you can thank him. (Also, his email is ldsimp@gmail.com, if you want to email him a word of encouragement.) It must be said that Luke has been a blessing to our students and God's awakening all of us to the reality of His amazing Grace. For almost two years he has served with the middle schoolers, as our worship leader, a small group leader, teaching music lessons, and overall serving in a role of simply getting-things-done. He leaves many friends and his band Rend the Heavens. Luke is a pleasure to work with. Grateful, Jeff Patterson Associate Pastor We are embarking again on what has become somewhat of a Summer tradition for our middle school group. A trip to Wild Waves is on the docket, this week! Join much of the WCC middle school group on Thursday, July 15th, for a day trip up north to the great [see more about the water theme park]. We think fun is spiritual too, and these outings have proved to deepen relationships. We will return late that evening and have a sleep-over at the WCC building, with breakfast served Friday morning. Total cost is $50 per student, and parents are welcome to join in a number of roles. Whether coming on the trip, or staying behind to help send-off, overnighter, or Friday breakfast. See the sign-ups for the ways you can participate! |
