This Summer we're going back-to-school in a new series:

This Sunday:

|
<<First Name>>,
Last Sunday we kicked off worship with a Quiz. A quiz? Yep. Why? Because students love quizzes!
Seriously, we wanted to help students wrestle with their assumptions about the Bible. Particularly about the Old Testament. [Can you pass this quiz?]
TODAY we focused on the TORAH, the first 5 books of the Bible (aka, The Law or the Pentateuch).
(Do these books scare you off?)
There we learn foundational truths, like:
-
Who God is
-
His promises (covenants) with His people
-
Who we are
-
The purpose of life
-
How to live in God's world
(We covered a lot of ground, walking through the Bible hitting highs & lows. Think of Jarred our teacher as a tour guide, pointing out highlights along the way.) What are these highs and lows? Read about them...
We walked through Genesis (on beginnings), Exodus (on Redemption), Leviticus (on holiness & worship), Numbers (wandering), Deuteronomy (on review, new beginnings for the next generation).
Here's a summary of the TORAH, in chart form:

I love these books. They teach us all about God. Dig in with your student!
His,
