Hello! Hello and happy March! The daffodils are blooming and it’s time for another update from your friends at the Glasgow Craft Mafia! Have you ‘zine her? Yes, blogs, websites and electronic newsletters (ahem) are all very well, but sometimes you just can’t beat the printed word. Thankfully Mafia members are here to help – well, you’d expect no less, would you? After months of hard work and research, Katy of Girl Industries has launched Answers on a Postcard, a series of 12 zines released monthly. Expect lots of crafty insight from some of your favourite makers, as well as articles, reviews and…well, you’ll just have to buy it to find out what else! Check out Katy’s shop for more info. Meanwhile, over at Asking for Trouble, Marceline’s produced two zines in one month - how’s that for productivity? Her Thailand travel zine will have itchy-footed globetrotters hunting for their passports while the other, Oddments, gathers up various writings from the past year, including reviews, diary entries, the ‘what I wore’ drawings and much more. You can get your hands on both zines over at the Asking for Trouble shop. Mothers’ Day Don’t forget, Mothers’ Day on March 14th. As you’d expect, we have lots of lovelies to delight your Mum… - If she’s hot stuff in the kitchen, how about Miso Funky’s world-famous ‘What would Delia do?’ sampler?
- Greenfingered mums would love Sarey Poppins’ gorgeous watering can patterned clasp purse
- Bookworm? How about teaming a great paperback (or zine!) with one of Showpony’s fabulous screen-printed cushions?
