Now that winter has arrived in full force, nothing sounds better than curling up with a good book — or webcast.
If you're in the mood for sardonic wit, check out Daniel Handler (also known as Lemony Snicket) at Story Hour in the Library. After reading from his book Adverbs, Handler answers questions from the audience like a skilled comedian.
Students will be spending plenty of time among great books and authors this semester thanks to the return of 24-hour study hall during finals in the Gardner Main Stacks. Study hall had been canceled due to budget cuts, but two Cal parents stepped in to cover the costs. Away from the distractions of home, the library is a safe, clean space students need during the intensity of exams.
