Cedar City Falls

Tuesdays November 10, 17, 24 at 7pm and 9pm.

CEDAR CITY FALLS is a weekly serialized live 'stage soap' written by Liz Tuccillo (author of the best selling book He’s Just Not That Into You: The No Excuses Truth To Understanding Guys) with Sex and the City writers: Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky & Cindy Chupack.

CEDAR CITY FALLS tells the story of a small peaceful town filled with hard-working, God-fearing folk who due to a series of unfortunate incidents and petty squabbles, gets plunged into full-scale civil war. It is a parable (and parody) of conflict escalation, war, activism, peace and redemption. This week’s performance features special guests Matt McGrath (B’way’s Cabaret & Boy’s Don’t Cry), Bridget Everett (of At Least It's Pink) & Kate Jennings Grant (B’way’s Guys & Dolls & TV’s Damages)

NERD NITE with NERD NITE SPEED DATING
Wednesday November 11
Speed Dating at 7pm
Nerd Nite at 9pm

First, back by popular demand, we give thee another dose of hetero Nerd Nite speed dating! Yes, 25 gals and 25 fellas united by 3-minute chats. Anyone is welcome, though we hope you have some nerdy tendencies. Apparently several matches from the spring are still going strong! Admission for speed dating also includes admission to the regular Nerd Nite program which will follow the dating festivities.

Which brings us to…the regular Nerd Nite program featuring our humanitarian – and spooky – side. In separate presentations, Shana Dressler and Amanda Judge share practical ways you can help alleviate poverty and improve the lives of underprivileged communities both internationally and locally, even you’re real real lazy or completely entrenched in consumerism. And then Julia Galef rounds things out by exploring how our brains fool us into believing in things that aren't real, even though the majority of humans believe in demons, witches, ESP, astrology, telekinesis, dowsing rods, homeopathy, alien abductions, and spirit planes (and true love, aw snap!…we made that last one up)
