Dear <<First Name>>
Graduate Fairs CP participated in a number of graduate recruitment fairs this year, most notably being York St John’s University where our offices are based. The Graduate turn out to these events was a bit on the shy side, which leads us to question whether the organisation of these graduate fairs in June/July is a good idea when most of graduates have already gone home! We are not just here to give graduates the design work experience they need but can help them where perhaps your careers services can't….. a career in design needs a totally different strategic approach and cannot be generalised – we can give specific careers advice needed to help taylor a CV and job applications in relation to design. Anybody needing this help should email us by clicking here.
New Clients Every month our client base is expanding, which gives our graduates the opportunity to work on a large variety of briefs and hopefully make some connections. Here are just a few of the new clients that have joined us in the last month - we thank you for your contribution and hope that working with some of the next generation of talent has been as beneficial for you as it has them: Irec – London based IT Recruitment agency Twenty Six – London/Leeds based Digital Design agency Inphinet – Bradford based Digital Design Agency Click here to see the latest work submitted by our grads
Freddie Starr Ate My Hamster! Ok, so this 1983 award nominated headline from the Sun may be a little confusing, but it got your attention-yeah? It is essential CP is seen and heard in all forms of media; it too needs the exposure like this headline achieved courtesy of PR mogul, Max Clifford. As a result we have enlisted the help of our newly recruited PR manager, Adam Thorndike. He is busy promoting CP, through press releases, meeting with universities and conducting online surveys with graduates/juniors. Why not check our Twitter page, Adam is updating it all the time with news that you may find extremely interesting! Ate My Hamster!
CP in the Press CP has had some great press coverage over the last couple of months. It’s great to have renowned design publications such as the Drum and Business Desk, along with recognised regional newspaper The Press (York), writing about and supporting CP. Creative Protege has also been nominated for a business award ……. Click here to see the latest
Goodbye, good luck and fare thee well! This is our favourite section of the newsletter because it is the inspiration behind why CP was set up. 10 of our graduates have landed themselves permanent or long term contracts in the last month which is the main aim of CP - to help Graduates / Juniors gain the work experience they need to move into the design industry. We wish you the best in your new positions. It seems the markets are starting to pick up and the green chutes are coming through so if you haven’t landed yourself a new job yet, keep pushing as talent always prevails!

Survey ResultsWe have to say a massive thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the CP survey. The results have been collated and analysed and from them new ideas are being developed to ensure that CP offers the best possible service. It seems that you all have the same fears about the current economic climate and are all trying your best to secure employment; it’s great to see you are all aware of the key to success that differentiates you from the rest - work experience, persistance and a little help from your friends!
