Creative Contractors Inc. recently completed the Science & Technology Building and Harbor Walk projects at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg. The LEED Gold Certified Science & Technology Building is USF's first LEED Certified facility.
The $9 million, 35,000 sq. ft. facility is two stories and includes classrooms and research and teaching laboratories. The building is both energy and water efficient and was constructed using earth friendly materials high in recycled content. More than 80% of construction waste was recycled.
Dr. Judy Genshaft, President of the University of South Florida remarked, "The building, plaza and fountain are phenomenal! What a highlight for USF St. Petersburg. Great work and many kudos."
The architect for the Science & Technology Building is Reynolds, Smith, and Hills, Tampa, and the architect for the Harbor Walk is Williamson Dacar Associates, Safety Harbor.
