Screen Printing onto Glass

Friday 1pm – 2pm

Long associated with printed T-shirts, silk screening is actually a versatile technique. This demonstration will introduce viewers to the basic process of creating photographic artwork that can be printed onto glass using colourful glass enamels. Screen printed glass can be used architecturally, to enhance the fabric of a building or as individual pieces of art.

This drop-in demonstration will show the basic techniques for stringing, bending wire, attaching clasps and closing crimps in fashion and costume jewellery.

Hooky & Proggy

Using traditional 'rag rug' techniques, Ali will explain the basics of this traditional craft. Viewers will also be able to have-a-go at this demonstration. Afterwards, there will be ample opportunity to chat and maybe even book yourself onto the next course!

This introductory course to printmaking techniques and book binding skills is a great way to create a series of special Christmas gifts. Ideas to work from can be provided or bring your own! See them translated into colourful, textural prints, which will be transformed into a unique, pictorial artist’s book.
