Ready, Set, Roll!
Greetings derby fans and welcome to another exciting year with the Atlanta Rollergirls!
We hope your holiday season was as abs-crunching as ours. We’ve been busting our butts to get ready for an even better 6th season and training fresh meat, the next generation of Atlanta’s brutal derby skaters.
That's right, its time to begin another action-packed season of roller derby.
Get yourself to the Yaarab Shrine Center on Saturday, March 13 to welcome your favorite rollergirls back to the track in the first double-header of the year. In addition to our heavy-hitting action, we have some surprises in store for you, so be sure to get your tickets before they sell out.

Show Our Rookies Some
Love!
It's time for some annual pre-season hazing! Come join us at Smith’s Olde Bar on Sunday, January 24 starting at 7pm to find out who's joining the ranks of our four home teams, amongst some other special surprises.
Dress down, dress up, dress shockingly, or dress demonically, and come show your support for the Apocalypstix, Denim Demons, Toxic Shocks, and Sake Tuyas while hanging out with your favorite skaters and listening to some of the best bands in town.
$10 at the door, and bring some extra cash for raffle prizes and other goodies!
World of Wheels
That’s right, you can find the wheels of our skates mingling with the wheels of some fancy hot rods. We’ll be setting up camp all weekend (January 29-31), skating around the Georgia World Congress Center, playing games, and educating the public on some seriously brutal roller derby.
Come find us because we’ll be running relays, hocking merch, and of course, showing onlookers why eight wheels are better than four!

Your Derby Questions Answered! Ever wonder why there are different positions in a pack? Well, here’s the low down:
Pivots—Control the pack speed, are the final line of defense, and wear the stripe on their helmet. Pivots are the “brainy blockers” as they frequently call the shots on the track.
Blockers—Block the opposing jammer with body contact and blocker walls to stop her from getting through the pack. They also move opposing players out of the way to help their own jammer get through to score points. Sometimes you'll see them giving whips to help their jammer or another blocker through the pack.
Jammers—The point scorers. These fast and fearless ladies jump, juke, and sprint their way through the pack to score points for their team. The jammers wear the star on their helmet.
