Dear Colleagues,

As we continue the Year of Science 2009 celebrations, we are often reminded of how successful COPUS has become. Most of us have not even met one another, and yet we have found ways to share ideas and work toward common goals.

As individuals we may not see the impact our contributions make to the cumulative effort, but what began as encouragement to engage the public in science has become a national, cross-disciplinary movement with the potential to create a culture that truly values science and scientific thinking.

So as we transition into 2010, we are taking stock of where we have been and what we have achieved as a grassroots community. Please help us by answering two simple questions about what Year of Science has meant to you or your organization.

Feel free to be as brief or elaborate as time permits, but being as specific as possible will be the most helpful to us.

Thank you for taking the time to help inform these efforts.

Warmest regards,
