Branch Announcements
Congratulations to Mark Schrieber!
Our Branch's own Mark Schrieber was elected during Greenbuild as incoming Chair of the EGB National Committee by his committee member peers. He will succeed Ed Wansing, of the Middle Tennessee (Nashville) EGB in this position. Mark will officially take over as Chair on May 1, 2010, and will serve as Chair-elect until then. Mark was also elected as Chair of the Chapter's EGB Committee.
Mark started the University of Miami EGB in the Spring of 2006 and joined the EGB National Committee in 2008. As those of us who have been involved with the South Florida Chapter the past several years can attest, Mark has shown great commitment to the EGB and Student programs, and has an incredibly bright future ahead of him in sustainability and green building. In his new role with National, he will be instrumental in the continuing effort to integrate EGB Committee members with their corresponding local Chapters and will undoubtedly provide great leadership to the entire EGB and Student network.
The entire Miami-Dade and the Keys Branches extends sincere congratulations to Mark, and wishes him great success in his new role with National.
