Greetings from the Eastern Edge!

It's been a veritable whirlwind since the Year of the Tiger kicked in with thirteen performances, 3 television appearances, a dozen radio interviews, two web features and well it just keeps accelerating.

LUC ET LUC on CBC TV (Radio-Canada en Acadie)

Less than a week after the Olympics, it was off to Moncton, New Brunswick to perform on the popular television show Luc et Luc with host/comedian Luc Leblanc. What a team and what a band backing me up lead by multi-instrumentalist Jesse Mea. Vive les Acadiens!

(Please tune in this Sunday night, April 11th for the broadcast of Luc et Luc which airs on Radio-Canada Televison at 8:00 pm, Newfoundland time.)

Ruckus on the Edge

This week it's Ruckus on the Edge all right and the city's hopping! There are hundreds of musicians and industry people all about to explode onto the St. John's scene and needless to say, I am thrilled to be a part of the event! You can catch performances starting at noon on Monday, April 12th at the Sheraton Hotel with The Once's Andrew Dale and mid-week with guitarist Charlie Barfoot on Wednesday, April 14th at 8:00 as part of World Music Night at the Delta. For JUNOFEST, Charlie and I will be appearing again at the Fat Cat on Saturday, April 17th at 9 pm, presented by Sonic Entertainment Group.

HOT SOUP AND COOL JAZZ FUNDRAISER

Wreckhouse Jazz and Blues

Upcoming performances include in quintet at the Hot Soup and Cool Jazz Fundraiser on April 20th at the Convention Centre starting at 5 pm. Wreckhouse Jazz & Blues is joining forces with Choices for Youth, the Jimmy Pratt Memorial Soup Kitchen, the NL division of the Canadian Mental Health Association and Vibrant Communities to present the 3rd Annual Hot Soup, Cool Jazz fundraising event, with hosts Angela Antle and Karl Wells.

Distribution APCM picks up Chansons Irisées

Chansons IriseesAurora Music is thrilled to announce that the new album Chansons Irisées has been picked up by the national distributor out of Ottawa called Distribution APCM. The CD will soon be available in retail stores across the country and for digital distribution. In the meantime you can still order it online at www.cdbaby.com as well in select stores. The CD is not two months old yet but the response has been fabulous!
