MC – MARTIN BEAUMONT
Drama/Soap 'Dream Team' Character -3 Series (Sky 1), 'Collectors Lot' -Presenter (Ch4)), ‘Best Of' Series 'Comedy Nation' (LWT), 'Red Handed' - Promos for Chris Tarrant's 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' (ITV)
Martin Beaumont is a true old school stand-up, a master of the one liner, who can handle anyone from drunken grannies to boisterous rugby players. Having made his name with a whole show devoted to White Van Men at Edinburgh, Martin has expanded his repertoire to include a whole host of subject matter – and all of it funny. He won the Time Out's Critics Choice for Sunspots.
OPENING – LIAM MULLONE
"Has a seriously stupid haircut. I suspect he's quite posh" - Vivienne Clore, Jo Brand's Agent
Liam Mullone launched his comedy career in October 2002, quickly winning the respect of promoters in and around London with an act which, according to veteran comic Bob Mills, is based around "not really understanding how the world works". He reached the final stages of several major competitions and appeared on ITV's Take The Mike and the BBC New Talent Awards showcase on BBC Three. He is now performing all over the UK. His act relies on his sharp, florid way with words and surreal flights of intellectual fancy that are belied by a faltering, perplexed style.
HEADLINE – GEOFF NORCOTT
Five O’clock Show with Richard Hammond (ITV1), Weapons of Mass Distraction (ITV), GMTV Morning Broadcast (ITV), WKD Sports Shed Presenter (Nuts TV)
His abundance of energy combined with a storming mix of impressions, observations and satire has made him a hugely popular act and compere on both the national & international circuit. Geoff has a string of TV & Radio credits to his name, including impressions 'Spoof' on BBC1, 'My Appalling School Report' on BBC2 and was the main anchor on the 'WKD Shed Sports Show'. Geoff's show 'The Shocking Truth About Men and Women' proved hugely popular at the 2009 Edinburgh festival, gaining sell out shows and a string of cracking reviews. 'Master of anecdotal stand up' Edinburgh Festival Magazine.
