Into the Battle - God's Perspective on Unity
by Gary Hargraves

Gary wanted to write something personal at the request of his wife Lisa for her aunt who has been battling cancer and chose a reference about the aunt's trip to the Grand Canyon.

Inspiration: John 1:1-3

God uses everyone in different ways.  It doesn't matter how long/short, easy/difficult or where your walk has taken you, God is always working within you for a purpose that serves a grand, universal plan or "way".  The plan is sometimes hard to read, especially when you are in a fight and so close to the battle. When I read the universal plan and look for your page, I see you right there with so many other great people that have inspired others to make a difference in their lives, pick themselves up and keep moving forward when the storms come.  Your strength and endurance are gems that shine brightly for others and illuminate your page found in the grand plan.

You never know who or how you affect someone.  What impact your life has on another.  A tiny stream starts in a mountain and flows to the sea.  On its way it carries a little rock, then one more, then another.  Because of the stream's strength to carry the rock and rock's sacrificial move, soon a river is born.  Fish soon spawn in the river and provide life for other animals: bears, otters, raccoons and people.  The river endures and moves on and a canyon makes way.  Villages appear all along the shoreline and life goes on.  Then one day a woman appears on the side of the Grand Canyon to witness the splendor of it's vast greatness and takes heart to what a struggle it was for the tiny stream and the little rock to be the fruit of a wonderful creation of God.  The Canyon whispers back and thanks her for having the strength and endurance to make a long journey during a time of trial.

You are tiny stream, you are a little rock, you are a flowing river; you are a Grand Canyon and most certainly a divine creation of God!
