If you thought Game Day 2010 couldn’t get any better, it just did.
We’re pleased to announce that Bernie Carbo, a Red Sox World Series legend and record holder will be present for both Game Day activities and our Post Game Day Sunday services.
In a recent interview with the Boston Globe and ESPN, Bernie was remembered for his pinch-hit home run in what was perhaps the greatest World Series game ever in the 1975 classic between the Cincinnati Reds and Boston Red Sox. His home run led to a dramatic Red Sox win in Game 6. Bernie was also the Sporting News National League 1970 Rookie of the Year.
But the real story of Bernie Carbo has only recently been told. He’ll share his journey from baseball fame to faith in Christ in both services on September 12 (Post Game Day Sunday) and will be available for autographs on Game Day.
Ten days and counting till you and your invited guests join Bernie and hundreds more for one incredible Game Day weekend.
