SVSP Has People

“People
People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world”

Those are the lyrics to the Barbra Streisand's 1964 hit song People. Written by Bob Merrill and composed by Jule Styne for the Broadway play Funny Girl. I watched this movie recently after reading the auto biography of Omar Sharif. He played Barbra's husband in the movie. He said he was hired for the part because the producer needed someone who looked comfortable in a tuxedo. I guess that is an important skill to have if you want it. But I digress...
People are my best asset here at Spokane Valley Screen Printing. Last month's Shirtsman Review talked about our new creative services division headed by crack designer Scott Ayers. This month we are focusing on one specific segment of that, the T-Shirt of the Month. Scott conceptualized the design from start to finish including how to print such a complicated image. Check it out below and if you're interested in a killer shirt at a low price, you can do the whole transaction securely online.

Other uses for T-shirts
Have some old T-shirts you don't wear anymore? Here are some ways to put those cotton cloths of glory to good use.

Shopping Bag
Can't decide whether to save the rainforest and use plastic or save the ozone and use paper? Cut off the sleeves of an old T-shirt and sew the bottom shut and you have yourself a reusable shopping bag.

Dog Bed
Say you have one of those clingy dogs that loves to cuddle with you in bed. Use an old T-shirt with your scent on it to create a doggy bed. Maybe that will help your best friend from hogging all the covers.

Book Cover
You have to pay for your kids sports fees, school lunch, clothes that are “in” and on top of all of that the school requires book covers? Let's make this easy. Get an old T-shirt and cut a large rectangle out of it and sew it around the book. Done.

Swiffer
Tired of buying those Swiffer Sweeper cloths? Cut T-shirt pieces into squares and use them for your Swiffer. Don't worry, your old Swiffer cloths will find someone else.

Fire Starter Log
Grab one of those cardboard tubes you get from your significant other not replacing the toilet paper and stuff some cut up T-shirt pieces in the center. It is encouraged to wash the T-shirt before use as a fire starter, otherwise you may experience an unpleasant odor.
