One Down Two To Go!

The Garland District-  Thanksgiving was somewhat non-traditional for the Spokane Valley Screen Printing Family this year. Susan, the Matriarch of the family and also our director of inbound shipments, absconded to Montana for the week and allegedly baked 40 pies. However she returned empty handed. The men of the family managed to put a nice meal on the table with the only problem being an insuffecient amount of gravy. Whether your Thanksgiving was traditional or not I hope it was full of thanks!
Now that December is here our customers are starting to get serious about their holiday gifting. We are doing a ton of Dri-Duck jackets and could you believe that almost all the stock in certain styles has been purchased? I guess that proves how great of a jacket it is. You haven't missed the cut off if you are still interested in rewarding your customers or employees with custom decorated apparel this Christmas season. (But it is getting close!).

TAC Begins 15th Season
Our “Crystal Season”

By Doug Howe, President, TAC
www.theaterartsforchildren.org
In 1995, the founders of Theater Arts for Children (TAC) looked at the community and saw that many children were not able to participate in children’s theater due to their lack of experience, and lack of a local venue.  These talented people got together, filed the non-profit corporation papers and found a location in the old University City Mall.  TAC became a reality with the mission of “Making a Dramatic Impact in Children’s Lives” by giving opportunities for children (and adults!) who wanted to enter the wonderful world of theater.
Our primary focus at TAC is to provide children the opportunity to become involved in theater.  TAC is a totally non-profit, all volunteer organization.   We focus our resources on teaching children all facets of a theatrical production.  This includes not only acting, but sound, lights, and sets as well.  We attempt to provide a rounded program to give “hands-on” experience in all facets of theater.
At TAC we produce 4 or 5 shows per season.  On the Saturday prior to auditions for each show, we provide a free “audition” class to teach people about auditions, what directors look for, and what to expect at an audition.
Our 2009/2010 season schedule for this, our 15th year, will be:
       Secret Garden:  Oct. 23 – Nov. 8
       Mr. Scrooge’s Christmas:  Dec. 4 – Dec. 20
Beauty and the Beast (Musical):  Feb. 26 – Mar. 14
The Last Gladiator:  May 7 – May 23
Come be part of our “Crystal Season”!  Please check our website at   www.theaterartsforchildren.org for audition dates and performance times.  Our theater is currently located at the Spokane Valley Partners building, 10814 E. Broadway, Spokane Valley, Wa.  99206
