Called to be Free to Give God Thanks and Praise
Introduction
Psalm 100: The psalmist invites all the world to sing praise to God with
happy songs. He calls upon people to recognize God as Creator. When they
attend worship, they should do so with praise and thanksgiving because God
is good and promises to be eternally faithful.
Today's Scripture: Psalm 100:5The LORD is good; his love is eternal and his faithfulness lasts forever.
How is this Scripture passage speaking to me today?
Today's Reading
1Sing to the LORD, all the world!2Worship
the LORD
with joy;
come before him with happy songs!3Acknowledge that the LORD is
God.
He made us, and we belong to him;
we are his people, we are his
flock.4Enter the Temple gates with thanksgiving;
go into its courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and praise him.5The
LORD is
good;
his love is eternal
and his faithfulness lasts forever.
Reflect
What are your favorite songs to sing when you are worshiping God? What do
you do to acknowledge that the Lord is your God? How do you celebrate
God's works as Creator? How do you feel when you reflect on God's eternal
love and faithfulness?
Pray
O Lord, I love to sing songs of praise to you! May my heart, soul, and
mouth be filled with words of overflowing gratitude and joy. Be present in
my worship, Holy One, that my songs of praise will be pleasing to you.
Amen.
