Here's a bit more Phoenix Wright-related news, this time from Japan's Famitsu Magazine (through Kotaku). The Phoenix Wright series will be hitting WiiWare in Japan, starting with Ace Attorney on December 15 for 900 points. Justice For All will be released on January 26 2010, and Trials and Tribulations will be coming on February 23. The latter two titles will cost 1200 points.

On March 15, the bonus chapter from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (called "Rise from the Ashes") will hit WiiWare for 300 points.

There's no word yet on a US release, but given Phoenix Wright's dedicated fanbase on these shores, it wouldn't come as a surprise.

The Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series for the Nintendo DS has long been popular with people who enjoy role-playing as a kind-hearted lawyer with no real idea of what he's doing. The series' gameplay, which is based on a lot of questioning, investigating, and cross-examining, has since carried over to several other games.

But in February of 2010, you'll have your chance to play as Phoenix Wright's rival, the prosecutor Miles Edgeworth. Edgeworth is as sharp as a hawk's talon and about as gentle, so you can be assured that Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth will be a different experience than what you're used to from Phoenix Wright.

If you're on the fence about taking up the prosecutor's badge, Capcom has provided an online demo for your consideration. Go forth and level accusations at trembling defendants.

Sony has announced via the Official PlayStation blog that the next firmware update for the PS3 will include Facebook functionality.

"The latest update incorporates Facebook into the PS3 experience. By linking your PlayStation Network account to your Facebook account, you will have the option for the PS3 to automatically update your Facebook News Feed with Trophy and PlayStation Store activity. This update also enables developers to set specific criteria in their titles to publish additional game information to your News Feed," says the post by Eric Lempel, director of Playstation Network Operations.

No release date was given for the firmware update. Facebook and Twitter functionality are available on the Xbox 360 today with that console's update.
