Are you a fan of Capcom's Ace Attorney courtroom drama series on Nintendo DS (and recently, WiiWare)? Well, you're in luck -- while the next entry, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, is still a couple weeks away from its retail release, the publisher announced today that players can now download a free playable demo of the game from the Nintendo Channel on Wii or via a Nintendo DS download station at participating retailers.

Better yet, Capcom is offering demo downloaders an opportunity to win a copy of the full game by taking a picture of themselves with the demo and sending a message to the author of this post on the company's official blog.

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth will be out on February 16, and is rated "Teen" by the ESRB for "Blood," "Mild Language," "Mild Suggestive Themes," and "Mild Violence."

Publisher THQ announced today that it has secured the rights to create video game adaptations of the Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! television game shows for the Wii and Nintendo DS/DSi, with the first games expected out sometime this year.

"We are excited to add two iconic properties such as 'Jeopardy!' and 'Wheel of Fortune' to our Kids, Family and Casual Games portfolio," said Doug Clemmer, executive vice president of THQ's Kids, Family and Casual Games division. "The opportunity to implement new features such as Wii Speak will re-imagine how these games are played and engage fans with a whole new level of interactivity."

According to THQ's announcement, the deal also gives them the option to bring these familiar options to other platforms, though it's not clear if or when that will happen. Both shows were last released as downloadable titles for PlayStation 3 through Sony Online Entertainment.

Yes, Slurpee -- as in the sugary ice-based drinks sold at 7-Eleven convenience stores. Sony inked a deal to bring its upcoming action epic to consumers in the form of a frozen beverage weeks before the game hits stores, with the new "Kratos Fury" flavor described as a blend of blackberries and limes.

Not only can you now drink the Slurpee flavor inspired by God of War III, but 7-Eleven will be providing four distinct limited edition cups based on the game, which come with download codes that can be redeemed for an in-game costume, PlayStation 3 menu theme, PlayStation Home t-shirt, or other goodies.

According to Sony, the Kratos Fury Slurpee flavor and cups should be available until March 31, so if you're looking to get your hands on some God of War III swag -- or just enjoy a (hopefully) delicious beverage -- now's the time to do so.

During the January Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last month, Microsoft announced their intent to launch the Xbox Live Game Room -- a virtual space where users can download retro video games and play them on their Xbox 360 consoles. Set to launch this spring, the Game Room will initially have up to 30 games available for download, with new titles set to come out weekly.

The actual Game Room will be free to download and Xbox Live users will be able to customize the space and can see their avatars wander through the old-school styled arcade room. The cost of the games will range from $3-5.

The Virtual Console for the Wii offers a similar service, but the rate at which new games are released on the Virtual Console is relatively slow, in part because Nintendo must wait for the ESRB to rate each game before it can be released for download, which is a time consuming and expensive process. A rumor from the site
Gamer Bytes indicates that Microsoft will be able to skip this step, provided that they release only kid-friendly games for the service. Rather than receiving a rating for each individual game, the Game Room itself will have a rating of Everyone 10+ and the service will not release titles that would get an older age range rating -- Teen or Mature -- from the ESRB.
