The Henrys Have Landed

After fifteen days on the road, traveling just under four thousand miles, with more than a dozen visits to friends and family along the way, the Henry clan of six children and two grown ups stepped off the Lewes-Cape May Ferry into South Jersey.

Between Tucson and Cape May, there were only a couple of minor mishaps: one black eye, one foot in a cactus, one piece of luggage tumbling down the interstate--who needed that piece anyhow?--and very few arguments.

Many of our supporters have commented: Sounds like an exciting journey! It's true; we have no shortage of excitement. In fact, it's managing the excitement which requires so much faith.

By God's grace, He has given all of the Henrys the faith they need. Over the past several weeks, amid all the excitement, the Henrys have experienced again and again God's personal care.

Lydia on the Cape May-Lewes Delaware Ferry and a "mysterious hand."Now that the Henrys have "landed," the real work begins. The Tucson home has sold the Henrys need to find and purchase a house in New Jersey. Phil needs to complete the fund raising needed for the new church--about $100,000 left for 2009.

These are "big needs." But, sitting down together as a family the other day, Phil shared some of his own personal prayer requests with the children, including the fact that "moving is hard." Noah, our seven-year old son, added, "But Papa, God is our moving buddy--our Big Moving Buddy."

Big needs are the specialty of a Big God. We believe God uses the support and prayers of family and friends to meet such needs.

Thank you for your interest in this new ministry and in the Henry's "adventure of faith." We're learning more and more each day that this God really is, indeed, a "Big Moving Buddy."
